Palermiti Luxury Rooms – Amazing weekend in Porto Palermo

K

Being able to travel with our girls and experience different hotel concepts throughout Albania and not only, for us is the ultimate goal. So this time we set to travel towards the south of Albania and specifically Porto Palermo, super excited to try out Palermiti Luxury Rooms, a complex with limited rooms and a beautiful view of the castle of Porto Palermo. The trip to get there was quite easy for us, since now there is a new road leading to Qeparo and from there we drove a bit back towards Porto Palermo. This new road is what was needed for many tourists because it connects you to the south, without the need to drive through Llogara National Park which feels exhausting to do it twice in only one weekend.

After checking in at Palermiti Luxury Rooms and freshening up bit, we got into our bathing suit and went directly to the pool. I mean, even if we didn’t want to, our girl would not let us rest with a pool so close by. And who could blame her with the hot August weather.

or dinner we decided to try out a restaurant recommendation from our friends: Elea Himara. This restaurant was around 10 minutes of driving distance from Palermiti Luxury Rooms and when we arrived we could instantly feel a unique vibe where the focus was not luxurious siting but delicious food, combined with a beautiful view of Himara.

We ordered a salad with figs and cheese wrapped in kadaifi, with wine that was locally made and was served in small glasses. For the main course we ordered lentils soup for our daughter, pasta with seafood for me and lamb orzotto for my husband. We got to enjoy this lovely meal while our daughter played with other kids on the space next to the tables.

The next day we decided to spend the day in Drymades, where our family was staying at Olea Residence, a residence resort with villas that have direct access to the crystal clear beach of Drymades. My nieces were staying there and Doen is always super happy to spend time with them, especially on the beach.
We spent time on the sun, made tiktoks by the sea and all the kids (and Shadow, our golden) splashed around on the beautiful beach.
After a wonderful day in Dhermi, we got back to our hotel, for a delicious sea food dinner at Palermiti Luxury Rooms, which we enjoyed by the pool. After dinner we called it a night since we were exhausted by the high temperatures.

On our third day, we decided to go and visit the Palermo Castle with our girls and later go for a swim on the beach there to freshen up.
Which is your favorite beach? If you’re a camper or even love exploring beaches that are not organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, but you can enjoy the wild way, try the beach in Porto Palermo.

Here is our daughter, having fun without a care in the world.
